WV® Torball

The Torball by WV is an original made of high-quality natural rubber. The ball, weighing approximately 500 g, features an internal bell and has a diameter of about 21 cm, which is roughly the same size as a conventional soccer ball. The WV Torball is primarily used for blind soccer (also known as Torball) in disabled sports, typically played by blind and visually impaired individuals. However, when combined with our blindfolds (M6136 & M6139), the Torball can also be used for educational sensory and perception games in schools or childcare facilities.

Torball is a popular team sport for people with disabilities, just like Goalball. Although both sports are very similar, they should not be equated. In Torball, the game is played on a field measuring 16 x 7 meters with a bell ball weighing approximately 500 g. In Goalball, the field measures 9 x 18 meters, and the ball is relatively heavy, weighing approximately 1250 g. The Goalball also has internal bells for auditory perception. In both games, the goal is 1.30 meters high and spans the full width of the respective playing field (7 meters or 9 meters).
