Fango One Time Packs
Fango pack – the beneficial power of nature
Mineral fango has been a proven remedy for a wide variety of ailments for centuries. Italy is considered to be the country of origin of Fango. Fango packs are intended to gently alleviate a wide variety of symptoms.
What are fango packs?
Translated, the Italian term "fango" means something like "healing mud". Today it is extracted from mineral rock of volcanic origin. A basic distinction is made between organic and inorganic fango.
Organic fango is also known as Italian fango. The healing mud consists of clay or loam, thermal water and biological components such as algae or microorganisms. The mixture matures over a fixed period of time in special pools and is constantly flushed with fresh thermal water. This allows the sludge to be enriched with microbes.
With inorganic fango, the long maturing process is avoided, instead a special mineral composition is used. For the production, the volcanic rock is broken, then heated and finely ground. To obtain a mud pack, it is mixed with thermal, mineral or service water. Therapists and healthcare providers can buy the inorganic version as a ready-made fango pack.
For which complaints are fango packs used?
Buy a fango pack and use it safely - the healing mud provides relief for numerous ailments. It is particularly effective for diseases or problems of the musculoskeletal system. Typical areas of application are:
- Spine problems
- Muscle tension
- Back pain, neck and shoulder pain
- Rheumatism
- osteoarthritis
- Osteoporosis
- Sports injuries such as strains
- Sciatica
In addition to these areas, the packs can have a positive effect in the treatment of skin problems/diseases and diseases of the internal organs.
Treatment with fango is not suitable for patients who suffer from circulatory disorders, blood pressure problems or edema.
How do fango packs work?
The heat from a fango pack stimulates blood circulation and metabolism. In addition, there is a release of tissue-active hormones, which in turn u. develop an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect. In addition, these applications strengthen the immune system and allow injured muscles, ligaments and joints to regenerate better. Fango packs are ideal for pre- and post-treatment of other forms of therapy.
How are fango packs used?
The fango mass is heated in a fango stirrer. The fast-melting mud has an optimal balance between elasticity, firmness and softness at the application temperature. The healing mineral mud can also be easily applied to difficult parts of the body. A heat carrier with a temperature of around 50 to 60 °C is applied to the approx. 3 cm thick fango layer. This heat pack, often a moor pillow, enhances the effect of the thermal application of the healing mud and ensures a long-lasting beneficial effect. Disposable fango foil or fango towels can also be placed on top.
What is the difference between fango packs and moor packs?
Another option for moist heat treatment is mud packs. In contrast to fango mud, moor mud from moor wetlands is used here. Ready-to-use mud packs are placed with the fleece side on the patient's skin. Then comes the heat carrier, which is also filled with peat and heated to around 55 – 60 degrees. In contrast to fango, moor is also suitable for cold therapy.
