Project Description
TSG Backnang Tennis 1925 e. V. recognised the potential of padel at an early stage and, in collaboration with Kübler Sport GmbH, successfully completed the construction of two new padel courts in the summer of 2024.
The modern courts are equipped with panoramic glass walls without obstructive steel elements, ensuring an unrestricted view. The facility is complemented by a floodlight system, allowing play to continue into the evening and extending operational hours. The courts feature artificial turf with a quartz sand infill, providing optimal playing conditions.
The total construction costs were covered through funding from the city of Backnang, the Württemberg State Sports Association, and internal club resources.

Background & Objectives
The club's primary objective was to broaden its profile as a tennis club. With the addition of the new courts, TSG Backnang Tennis strengthens its position as a regional hub for racket sports, offering an attractive new option that excites existing members and attracts new sports enthusiasts.
Furthermore, a competitive league operation is planned, with the Backnanger Padel Panthers set to launch in 2025, further integrating padel into the club’s long-term development.
We are convinced that the introduction of padel will offer our current members new sporting opportunities while also attracting new enthusiasts who want to experience the unique atmosphere and fun of padel at our club.
