Assignment of Parts - By assigning the colored insert boards according to certain characteristics, new classes are continuously created. This way, the patient learns that things can belong to different classes. By arranging the insert boards according to certain criteria, the patient learns the regularities of the series. Furthermore, the figure-ground distinction and perceptual constancy are promoted through the active engagement. By providing a reference size (square inserts), the basics of fractions can be illustrated.
