Parabolic Step

The basic idea of the Parabelstep is to extend conventional step training with deep muscle training. For this purpose, a stepper had to be developed that brings with it a defined horizontal instability. It may sound complicated, but it isn't. The athlete quickly gets used to the pleasant, cushioning feeling and the slight instability created by the rubber feet.

- Dimensions (L x W x H): approx. 82 x 41 x 11 cm
- Weight: approx. 7.5 kg
- Material: Birch plywood (20 mm thick) with reinforced edge strips (50 mm wide and 30 mm thick) on the bottom
- Rubber parabolic buffers, approx. 55 mm long
- Max. load capacity: approx. 125 kg

Dr. Tusker, Chair of Training Science at the Technical University of Munich, has already tested the Step and found it to be effective:
"When performing movements on the stepper, the rubber feet give a slight give, causing the stepper to move slightly in the direction of the applied force. In order to still perform targeted movements, more muscles are activated, which fulfill two tasks:
- Perform the body's movement
- Ensure stability on the moving surface..."

The Parabelstep differs from conventional step trainers in the following points:
- Buffering, damping, and oscillation effects due to parabolic buffers
- Training of deep muscles and connective tissue
- Improvement of foot and knee stability
- Flexible use in aerobic exercises, strength training, and therapy
