The low-smoke moxa cigars are made from mugwort herb. Low-smoke cigars are particularly useful for indoor use. The low-smoke property is achieved by pre-burning and then compressing the mugwort herb into moxa charcoal.
Moxa is a traditional application in TCM, Traditional Chinese Medicine. The cigars are ignited on one side. The glowing tip is then brought to within half a centimeter of the therapy point. If the patient feels a pronounced heat, the cigar is removed. The process is repeated several times until redness occurs.
