The underlay mat is used where impact protection for high free fall heights is needed on playgrounds or public sports facilities, such as calisthenics facilities. This allows for an approved fall height of up to 3.00 m.
The mat is permeable to water and is simply placed underneath the Granuflex® impact protection tiles.

Granuflex® impact protection plates TSP70 in combination with the underlay mat (D4430) allow for the following free fall heights:
- Impact protection plate with a thickness of 40 mm + underlay mat: 2.39 m
- Impact protection plate with a thickness of 45 mm + underlay mat: 2.61 m
- Impact protection plate with a thickness of 55 mm + underlay mat: 2.93 m
- Impact protection plate with a thickness of 65 mm + underlay mat: 3.00 m
- Impact protection plate with a thickness of 40 mm + underlay mat: 2.39 m
- Impact protection plate with a thickness of 45 mm + underlay mat: 2.61 m
