Foam Balls
Fun to play with soft foam balls
What can I use foam balls for?
Foam balls are particularly popular with children. The soft and light balls are not only easy to catch and throw, even if you get hit by the ball it doesn't hurt as long as with a normal, hard game ball. Soft foam balls are also very popular in school sports, especially for the well-known ball games such as Völkerball and Zombie Ball. In order to learn the characteristic techniques on and with the ball, the use of method balls made of foam is recommended. Various soft foam balls are often used here to train and consolidate sport-specific techniques in a playful and fearless manner. For the little ones in football, a foam ball is ideal for goal scoring because the ball is extremely soft and light. Even with direct hits, the ball does not cause pain and therefore offers fearless and injury-free fun. The development of the feeling for the ball is also very important in handball. Here too, foam balls are often used in children's and youth training. The foam balls for handball are easy to throw and catch and easy to grip. The right throwing technique is also easy to learn with the foam ball. When learning the upper pass in volleyball, foam balls are also often used in addition to balloons. This is used, for example, in the so-called "ball over the line" and thus trains the feeling for the ball and coordination. Colorful foam balls are also used in therapy because they have a high stimulating character and at the same time promote fine motor skills and coordination.
What should I watch out for when using foam balls?
Foam balls are easy to care for. Closed cell foam balls or coated foam balls can be easily wiped or cleaned. Open cell foam balls are only suitable for outdoor use to a limited extent, since dirt or small things such as branches or leaves can easily get caught in the surface or damage them. In addition, open cell foam balls should be kept away from small children, as these can easily tear off parts of the foam. If foam balls are used in the water, they should be dried well afterwards to avoid mold.
Buy the right foam ball
In our assortment you will find a large selection of different foam balls in different sizes and with different jumping properties or surface structures from brands like Volley® or ProSoft®. With us you will surely find the right foam ball for all ball games or for any sport.
Closed cell foam balls have a high foam density and either consist of or are coated with PU foam, which creates a closed and smooth, yet non-slip surface. They offer the advantage of being less susceptible to damage from pointed objects and almost as bouncy as the “right” balls in a sport. In addition to closed cell PU foam balls, you will also find ProSoft® balls for various sports such as basketball, volleyball or handball in our range. These special balls have a rubber bubble under their soft, closed cell PU surface and are therefore ideal as method balls for many ball sports.
Foam balls without a coating are called open cell foam balls. They have an open surface structure that resembles a sponge. These balls are particularly soft and elastic. Due to the uneven surface, they are particularly easy to grip and fly slowly. In our range you will find various open cell foam balls, for example with the dimensions of an exercise ball, as a tennis or table tennis ball. You can also find a soft medicine ball for use in therapy here.
Coated foam balls are ideal balls for use in school sports. They consist of a soft, open cell foam that is surrounded by a surface or coating of closed cell PU. This creates the appearance of skin that resembles that of an elephant, alligator, shark or dragon. In our range you will find coated foam balls from well-known brands such as Volley® and Dragonskin®, which are characterized by their robustness and grip. Due to the smooth surface, the balls are also easy to clean.
