MoVeS® Babinski Reflex Hammer
In addition to the various variants, the Babinski reflex hammer is characterized by its round head.
The handle is made of stainless steel and has a point at the end. This point can be used to test sensitivity. The patient can determine whether they feel any sensation in the tissue.
In general, the Babinski percussion hammer is used to elicit a reflex. This happens when the hammer strikes a tendon in a downward motion. With the round head of the Babinski reflex hammer, you can target both small and large tendons very well. Test the Achilles tendon reflex or the patellar reflex.
The reflex hammer is ideal for doctors, students, and therapists. Other reflex hammers include the Taylor hammer, the Wartenberg hammer (equipped with a sensory wheel), and the Buck hammer, which is equipped with a nerve pin and a brush.
