For retrofits, there are also corresponding mounting frames made of steel pipe available for acrylic glass basketball backboards. The use of these mounting frames offers the advantage that the basketball hoop is directly bolted to the basketball stand and not just to the basketball backboard. This prevents damage to the playing surface.
