The perfect start is not only dependent on the reaction of the sprinter, the starting block also plays a decisive role. Starting blocks are used in various athletics sports, whether in competition or in training. Starting blocks, starting aids and the right storage accessories can be bought quickly and easily in our online shop. Here you will find the right starting block for every requirement.

Our starting blocks for a perfect start

On your marks, get set, go! Starting blocks are not only mandatory on the sprint, they also support the sprinter and ensure that it can reach a higher speed in the acceleration phase.

Which starting block to buy?

Our SCHOOL starting block is ideal for school and leisure sports. The block ensures the perfect start both on plastic tracks and on the cinder track. The start rail is made of robust, solid steel and offers the runner 14 different block positions for starting. Kübler Sport also has the ideal starting block for athletics competitions and official runs. Our starting blocks are IAAF certified and are used for national and international competitions. The SUPER and CLUB starting blocks are particularly suitable for use on plastic tracks. The setting grid of the starting block is precisely lasered on both models and thus enables a perfect setting of the blocks and thus an ideal start. Both starting blocks offer 15 possible block positions and are anchored with spikes to the bottom of the track. The blocks of the SUPER starting block have a blue plastic covering and can be adjusted in 5 different angles. The starting blocks of the TEAM starting block are covered with tartan and offer even better grip at the start.

How do you set a starting block?

The perfect positioning of the two starting blocks mainly depends on your height. Most of the time, however, the runner has the stronger leg in the front of the starting block. The distances of the blocks from the starting line and between the blocks must be selected so that the runner in the "ready" position has a knee angle of approx. 90 ° in the front leg, slightly more (approx. 110 °) and that the shoulders are at the start line. Furthermore, the front block should have a lower, the rear block should have a larger angle of inclination. The easiest way to find out the optimal distances and angles is to try them out, but as a "rule of thumb" for the block distances, you can orient yourself at two foot lengths between the starting line and the front starting block and three foot lengths between the starting line and the rear starting block.

Starting blocks for sports halls

You don't have to do without starting blocks even in halls without a tartan surface: You can also find starting blocks for sprint training in the hall in our shop. Our starting blocks for the hall are provided with a special non-slip surface, which make the perfect start in hall possible. No matter which hall floor your hall is equipped with, the BLOCKX hall start will adhere safely. The starting blocks made of PE foam are also suitable as a first starting aid for children's athletics. No rails are necessary here, the starting block is simply aligned and adapted to the foot position like normal starting blocks.

Organise your equipment: The starting block rack

A starting block rack ensures order in the hall and in the stadium, because it offers space for up to 10 starting blocks. To ensure that the starting block sits perfectly on the track and does not slip, spikes for anchoring should not be missing, the spikes in our shop fit all of our starting block models.

Of course you will also find flaps and other referee accessories with us. So you are perfectly equipped so that it can finally say: "Ready, set, go!"
