High Jump Stands

The jump stands of a high jump facility are in front of the mat. A support is attached to each of them, onto which the crossbar is placed so that it can easily fall forward or backward when touched. So that the crossbar does not fall down due to the vibrations during landing, the jump stands must not touch the mat during competitions.

As an alternative to the crossbar, a so-called magic cord or a Zacharias crossbar can be attached to the jump stands during training. The Zachariaslatte is a film tube that is stretched between the stands with rubber rings and tear-off brackets, the magic cord is a rubber cord that is attached to the stands. Both make fear-free training possible, especially for beginners, by eliminating the risk of injury.
